All individuals to be employed and retained by the charter school must demonstrate positive personal characteristics, the knowledge base and successful experiences required to execute their specific and general responsibilities, and comply with all applicable teacher certification requirements. The RAI Digital Charter High staff will show a high level of commitment to all areas of instruction as demonstrated by, but not limited to, the participation in and development of school programs, workshop attendance, the writing of grants, etc. RAI staff will be responsible for developing and implementing the learning programs at the school site. Teaching Staff Staff will be selected from within and without the Vallecitos School District. To be considered for employment by RAI Digital Charter High as a certificated teaching staff, individuals will meet requirements, including, but not limited to the following for each core class taught.
Administrative Staff To be considered for employment at RAI Digital Charter High as the Chief Education Officer, an individual will meet requirements, including, but not limited to the following:
Classified Staff Specific qualifications for employment at RAI Dgitial Charter High are articulated in the individual job description for each classification. School Secretary: Knowledge of functions and clerical operations of an administrative office; office practices, and equipment, including filing systems, receptionist, and telephone techniques, working with computers, letter and report writing; correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation; arithmetic; rules and regulations, laws and polices governing the district; CPR/First Aid Certification. Ability to perform responsible clerical and secretarial work and relieve an administrator of detail; understand and apply polices and rules; compose correspondence independently; make clear and comprehensive reports and keep records; meet the public in situations requiring tact, diplomacy and poise, use good judgment in recognizing scope of authority; establish and maintain effective working relationships; type at a rate of fifty (50) works per minute. One year of increasingly responsible office experience, supplemented by additional training in office organization and secretarial skills, preferably including experience in a school district; equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade, supplemented by or including courses in typing, office practices and office management; or any combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities. Bilingual skills are desirable. Business Clerk: Knowledge of functions and clerical operations of an administrative office; office practices and equipment, including filing systems, receptionist and telephone techniques, working with computers; letter and report writing; correct English usage, spelling, grammar, punctuation; arithmetic; rules and regulations, laws and policies governing the district; CPR /First Aid certificate. One year of increasingly responsible office experience, supplemented by additional training in office organization and secretarial skills, preferably including experience in a school district; Prefer Bookkeeping experience and/or training. Network System Supervisor: Four years of experience performing technology support services, including conducting training, maintaining hardware, software, and materials, and serving as site liaison and contact resource person. Demonstrated performance record in learning, maintaining and teaching emergent computer-based technologies; performing PC installations and routine service; maintaining databases. Extensive background in Macintosh and MS/DOS operating systems required; extensive experience in network management, certification preferred, work processing, data bases, and other desktop software computer repair and maintenance; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Thorough technical knowledge of: network and workstation operating systems and their uses; requirements and procedures for configuring microcomputer equipment, and network-based and commercially-packaged workstation software; network wiring topologies and protocols; and data communication concepts. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities conducting effective platform and one-on-one training sessions in the area of applied technology; demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with diverse groups; comprehensive understanding of personal computing and network environments; comprehensive understanding of Macintosh and MS/DOS operating systems; highly developed ability to learn and maintain emergent computer-based technologies; skill in problem solving; ability to effectively maintain, implement and adapt computer hardware and software to the needs of the District; maintain accurate records and prepare reports as required; set up computer hardware, software and networks; and skill and ability in maintaining cooperative and effective working relationships with others in the District setting.
