Welcome to the Rainbow Advanced Institute for Learning Digital Charter High School web site, an innovative online home education program for students in grades 6-12. The instructional program is focused on a classical liberal arts education. Instruction is integrated across subject areas with a strong emphasis on project-based learning to apply skills learned in the core subjects to real world applications.

RAI Digital Charter High’s classroom instruction is real time on the Internet using HorizonWimba as our main software. Students work from their home computer stations. Our fully credentialed and highly qualified teachers deliver instruction directly to their students at scheduled times. The teachers speak directly to their students who in term can participate in classroom discussions. Video capabilities allow for students to see their teacher or classroom video clips. Electronic whiteboards allow teachers to present instructional materials much as they would do in a regular classroom. Classes are recorded for students who need scheduling flexibility or unable to participate in the live discussion due to illness. The school also uses WebCT as a platform for asynchronous instruction for independent class work, test taking, and advanced online courses.
